Nationwide Asthma Screening Program
Helps People Breathe Easier

Do you have trouble breathing when you walk or do simple chores? Do you cough at night? Does your chest feel tight or do you ever have trouble taking a good, deep breath?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you might be one of the millions of Americans who are letting asthma take their breath away. The Nationwide Asthma Screening Program can help you find out if your breathing problems might be symptoms of asthma.  If you already know you have asthma, the screening can help you find out if your disease is under control.

Now moving into its 12th year, the program provides free screenings to adults and children at more than 250 sites across the country. Most screenings take place in May which is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month.  Learn more about asthma and the screening program, take online self-tests and find a screening near you by clicking on the links to the right.
