I have now seen 7 patients who were placed on sublingual therapy who have developed significant reflux, 4 have had EGD that showed significant eosinophilic infiltration of esophageal and gastric mucosa. All stopped sublingual therapy the symptoms resolved. One individual decide to restart against advice and had recurrance of symptoms.
How common is eosinophilic infiltration with this therapy? These were patient who were being treated elswhere who moved to my area.
