Sorry for the wait in response - I really wanted to see if there would be other responders other than me.
For me the reimbursement on IT from Empire BC/BS is very good and patients that I have don't pay co-pays and the problem we had was in duration of IT ( they wanted 3 years tops including buildup) and having to justify every additional year after 3. They have printed in their policy brochure the 3 years of IT and to have records of evaluation IT and justifying continuing it past 3 years but using the form of the AAAAI . I haven't heard from my colleagues in NY re: this issue - so I can only give you my experience on the matter.
I have a feeling that rules are different in every state, but I don't know just how much different and that is why we need comments from other states as well.
