Nasal Polyps and Sinusitis

Q: Can nasal polyps cause asthma?  Does removing them help?

A: NO. But they are commonly seen in asthma and lead to sinusitis which can worsen asthma. Many times polyps are related to allergies and the patient needs to see an allergist.
