Everybody wins when you Title-a-Talk

An easy way to donate to the ACAAI Foundation is using your lecture honoraria through the Tithe-a-Talk program! Honoraria can be donated directly from any speaking engagement, including the ACAAI Annual Meeting, and count toward 5k Club or 10k Club pledges.  Directly donated honoraria give you the ability to donate more, as funds are gifted pre-tax!  You can download the convenient Tithe-a-Talk contribution form on the Foundation homepage at www.acaai.org.

Luz Fonacier, MD, FACAAI, who recently achieved 5K Club status, has included the Foundation among her top charities. “The Tithe-a-Talk is a win-win situation. I am able to educate and at the same time help fund future educational programs and invest in our future allergists. It has a sort of snowballing effect.

“As a training program director, I know first-hand the impact the Foundation’s support has made on our specialty. I urge all members who are dedicated to the highest standards of clinical practice to help support our Foundation and the future of our specialty,” she said.

The Foundation offers a variety of options for every level and type of giving. In times of bereavement, an in-memoriam donation to the Foundation may be requested in lieu of flowers.

More than $700,000 has been awarded by the Foundation to fund specialty-related programs that otherwise might cease to exist. These programs have included Young Faculty Support awards, Scholar’s Return awards, emergency fellows-in-training stipends, and support for the Consortium for Children’s Asthma Camps. The Jean Chapman Endowment Fund for Education was established to help support resident travel grants.
