Stanley M. Fineman, M.D., M.B.A., FACAAI Immediate Past President Marietta, Georgia

ACAAI Immediate Past President Stanley M. Fineman, M.D., M.B.A., Marietta, Ga., is clinical associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, and in private practice with the Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic in Marietta, Georgia.
He served as ACAAI president (2011-12), president-elect (2010-11), vice president (2009-10), three terms as treasurer, Foundation Board treasurer, and is now serving his second term on the Board of Regents. During this past year, he was on the editorial boards of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and AllergyWatch. He chaired the Annual Program Committee and was a member of the Continuing Medical Education Committee, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Marketing, Publications Committee and numerous others. He previously chaired the Ethics Committee, Finance Committee, Managed Care Key Contact Network, Practice Guidelines Committee and the Symposia Committee. His many honors include the ACAAI’s Distinguished Fellow Award in 2000; the Distinguished Service Award in 1999; and the 2009 Bela Schick and1999 Mittelstaedt lectureships.
Dr. Fineman was formerly on the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He was president of the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and co-chaired the Joint Task Force on Practice Parameters. He also served as president of the Cobb County Medical Society, the Southeastern Allergy Association, the Allergy and Immunology Society of Georgia and the Cobb Area Pediatric Society.
