Dr. Bahna is professor of pediatrics and medicine and chief of the Allergy/Immunology Section at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, La. He serves on the ACAAI Executive Committee, the Professional Education Council, the International Committee, the Adverse Reactions to Foods Committee and chaired the International Food Allergy Symposium. He received the Distinguished Service Award, Distinguished Fellow Award, International Distinguished Fellow Award, and the Clemens von Pirquet Award, and presented the John P. McGovern Lecture, the Bernard Berman Memorial Lecture and the Bela Schick Lecture. Dr. Bahna served on several NIH committees and three terms on the Executive Committee of the AAP-Section on Allergy & Immunology. He is author or co-author of more than 270 publications and he is frequently invited as visiting professor at major institutions and speaker at major national and international meetings.
