ACAAI President-Elect Richard W. Weber, MD, FACAAI, Denver, is professor of medicine at the University of Colorado, Denver School of Medicine, and professor of medicine at National Jewish Health, in Denver.

He served as ACAAI vice president, and is now serving his second term on the Board of Regents and the Executive Committee. A member of the Aerobiology Committee since 1983, he is its current and past chair, and served as program director of the Aeroallergen Identification Workshop since 1985. During this past year, he chaired the Pharmaceutical Symposia Committee, the Acorn Committee and the Research Funding Review Committee. He is associate editor and Editorial Board member of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and is editor of its Cover Section. He served on numerous committees including the FIT Bowl Planning Committee (since 1991) and the Abstract Review Committee. He was recognized with the ACAAI Distinguished Fellow Award, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Bela Schick Lectureship.

Dr. Weber served on the ACAAI/AAAAI Task Force on Practice Guidelines and the Certification-Recertification Board Review Committee. He chaired the AAAAI Aerobiology Committee and the National Allergy Bureau Counters Committee. He is a member of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) Allergenic Products Advisory Committee.
