Dr. Lanier is a past president of ACAAI, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the World Allergy Organization. He was founder and Executive Director of both the Society of Principal Investors, and the National Association of Physician Broadcasters. Dr. Lanier has chaired and served on numerous ACAAI committees. He was recognized with ACAAI's Distinguished Fellow Award and Distinguished Service Award.  Practicing full-time allergy, asthma, and immunology in a solo practice in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Lanier is also clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of North Texas HSC.
