ACAAI Regent Chitra Dinakar, MD, FACAAI, Kansas City, Mo., is professor of pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and staff physician, Section of A/A/I at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics. She is on the Annals Editorial Board, vice speaker for the ACAAI House of Delegates, vice chair of the Practice Guidelines Committee and a member of the Committees on Abstract Review, Meet the Professor Breakfast and Women in Allergy. Dr. Dinakar was newly elected to the Executive Committee of the Section of A/I of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and also is on its PREP Self-Assessment Editorial Board. She is past president of the Greater Kansas City Allergy Society. Her honors include the Award of Excellence by the American Association of Allergists & Immunologists of Indian Origin.
