Women in Medicine

Anjuli S. Nayak, MD, FACAAI, Normal, Illinois, is a clinical associate professor, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois, Chicago; adjunct professor, Department of Biological Sciences at the Illinois State University, Normal; and clinical assistant professor, department of Internal Medicine, Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also in private practice specializing in allergy and immunology and a principal investigator of numerous clinical trials with new drug development.

She is being honored by the College for her dedication to research in allergy and immunology. She chairs the ACAAI Dermatological Allergy Committee and Women in Allergy Committee, and is on the Scientific Council. She previously served as vice chair of the Pediatrics Committee and was a member of the Allied Health-Clinical Research Coordinators Committee. Dr. Nayak has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Annuals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, Chest, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Pediatrics, and The New England Journal of Medicine. She received the Outstanding Clinical, Technological, and Scholarly Achievement Award applied to medical research by the faculty of the University of Illinois, 2000-01, and 2007-2008.
