To help identify the cause of a severe allergic reaction, give careful thought to the triggers you might have been exposed to before the reaction, and consider any recent activities, including exercise and sex, that might’ve helped trigger the reaction.

Be aware that while the cause of about half of all anaphylaxis cases is never determined, there are other medical emergencies that have symptoms similar to those of anaphylaxis, such as:

Heart attacks

Anxiety disorders
(such as panic attacks)

Seizure disorders

Poisoning

Be safe and seek medical help immediately if you experience any signs of an allergic emergency so that you receive the appropriate treatment for the cause of your symptoms.
