Sinusitis Treatment Outcome Questionnaire

The Sinusitis Treatment Outcome Questionnaire has been developed by the ACAAI Rhinitis/Sinusitis Committee. The questionnaire can be used to establish a symptoms score for new patients and to monitor progress of treatment.

A retrospective analysis using this questionnaire can demonstrate, for example, the degree to which immunotherapy reduces the incidence and economic impact of sinusitis. Results of a study using this questionnaire were presented at the 1998 ACAAI Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, and will be published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

The sinusitis treatment outcome questionnaire used in the study was validated by a division of Georgetown University.
