Become an Associate Reviewer for the Annals!

Fellows, you are invited to participate in a unique opportunity of being an Associate Reviewer for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.  In addition to being one of the leading journals in the field of allergy and immunology, the Annals also is the official journal of the American College of Asthma, Allergy, & Immunology (ACAAI).  The Editor of the Annals, Dr. Gailen Marshall, has made special efforts to make this opportunity available for fellows.

What does being a reviewer for a medical journal mean?

Submitted manuscripts for publication undergo a rigorous review process.  At least two respected individuals in the field provide comments and suggestions for the manuscript and help the Editor decide if the work is worthy of publication.  Generally the reviewer is an expert or has a strong in the area the manuscript relates to.

What is expected if I participate?

You will be paired with other senior allergist/immunologists in the field to help review manuscripts for the Annals.

You will be able to determine how often and what type of manuscripts you wish to review.  Thus the experience can be tailored to your own interests.
